Fall Masquerade at Orion

A Fall highlight at Orion children’s village is their annual Masquerade. Douglas Waybourn, former Russian orphan and adopted son of Tarrant County Sheriff, Bill Waybourn, recently shared this video of some of the children at Orion enjoying the special Masquerade. This annual event similar to Halloween in the U.S. requires everyone to dress up, but they don’t reveal who or what they are initially. A show begins with a presentations from the kids… many sing and or dance, then their identities are revealed. There are also games, team competitions, and rewards for the best and most creative costumes at the end.
