A Breath of Peace for Nastia in the Midst of Hardship

At just 10 years old, Nastia has faced more hardship than many experience in a lifetime. She and her mother fled their home in Donetsk, Ukraine, to escape the war. Her father was killed in the conflict, and her mother is now battling cancer, enduring chemotherapy treatments that often leave her weak. On top of that, Nastia has her own health challenges, living with only one functioning kidney.

Thanks to your support, Nastia was able to travel to the Carpathian Mountains for a camp designed especially for orphaned and vulnerable children, including many whose parents were soldiers who have died or are missing.

For a few days, Nastia could step away from the heavy burdens of her life in Chernihiv. She saw the beauty of the mountains, breathed in the clean air, and felt the warm sun on her face. Surrounded by nature, she experienced peace and joy that had been missing for far too long.

The Allies team was deeply moved by Nastia’s quiet strength. They prayed for her and her mother’s healing, making sure she felt cared for and valued. Around campfires, over shared meals, and during moments of laughter, new friendships were formed—friendships that reminded Nastia she is not alone.

Your generosity made this possible. You gave a little girl who has known so much loss a chance to rest, to heal, and to be reminded that she is loved.

Thank you for bringing hope and light into Nastia’s life.
