Carefree Moments in India

In India, a volunteer named Egor recently spent time with children at a local children’s home. The day was simple but meaningful. They played tag, tossed a ball back and forth, and laughed as children should. In between the games, he listened as they shared their thoughts and dreams. For a few hours, the weight of their past felt lighter. They were not defined by hardship. They were simply kids enjoying the moment.

Egor also had the chance to speak with them about values, hope, and the love of God. It was encouraging to see how open they were to learning and growing. Even at a young age, they are beginning to understand that they are loved and that their lives have purpose. Those truths matter. They shape how children see themselves and how they face the future.

One girl, Ponchomi, left a strong impression. She has lived in the children’s home for six years. When she was just five, her father passed away, and her mother could no longer care for her. For a time, Ponchomi worked as a servant in a relative’s home. Later, she was given the opportunity to move into the children’s home, where she could receive an education and regular meals. Today, she is cheerful and full of energy. She loves to sing and dance, and she dreams of helping other children one day.

Seeing her smile and confidence today is a reminder of what steady care can do. Children who once carried heavy burdens are now growing, learning, and dreaming again. With continued support, more children in India can experience the same hope, friendship, and chance for a better future.
