Dr.Tatiana Baeva | Director of International Operations

As we enter the season of thankfulness, I want to tell you how thankful I am for YOU. I am grateful for your partnership that allows us to witness miracles from God in thousands of orphans’ lives in 68 countries and counting. In case you missed one of our miracles at Color Their World in Mansfield, I want to tell you about Nikita. His adoptive mother, Irina, was connected to him in a Russian orphanage when she was a volunteer with the Allies Mentoring Program (AMP). Nikita has hydrocephalus, and when Irina met him at age 5, his future looked grim. He would have most likely been sent to a medical facility in Russia and not survived. Even though Irina and her husband already had seven biological children, it was placed on their heart to adopt. Then they met Nikita. They now live in California, and Nikita is thriving at age 13. Irina says the whole story of Nikita started with Allies, and we are grateful to be part of that miracle.
Do you realize you are making miracles like Nikita possible every day? From sending boots to cover children’s weathered feet in the Andes Mountains to providing food and the chance to go back to school for an orphan found digging in a garbage dump in Ethiopia — you are a miracle in their lives.

There are also miracles that are more than just the here and now. When we started in 2011, we were not allowed to talk about God, and it was dangerous to try. We decided that we would help the children anyway because someone needed to. But then miracles started happening. We connected with Christian leaders and volunteers who took the love of Christ into the orphanages through AMP. They would also hold Christian summer camps that Allies orphans could go to.
In the last six years, there have been 3,721 decisions for Christ through Allies programs. Each of those decisions is a miracle and one with an eternal impact.
I want to invite you to be part of more miracles in the future. With an estimated 153 million orphans around the world, there are always more children waiting for a miracle.
You Support Girls Saved from Human Trafficking
Dr.Tatiana Baeva | Director of International Operations
Did you know that Allies programs include human trafficking prevention for orphans and vulnerable children? Through the Allies Mentoring Program (AMP), children are taught the tactics of human traffickers and how to avoid their traps. We also provide support to single mothers to make sure they are able to care for their children and not become prey to traffickers. In other cases, your support is directly helping girls rescued from human trafficking.
Dr. Baeva hugs a girl rescued from human
trafficking during a summer mentoring
program visit to an orphanage in Peru.
Over the summer, I traveled to Peru and met some of those girls at an orphanage there. For their safety, we cannot show their faces in pictures. This home is a sanctuary where they are protected from the dangers of the streets and given a chance to rebuild their lives. They cannot leave the premises due to the constant threat from traffickers who still seek to reclaim them. As a result, they do not have access to cell phones or the internet, ensuring their safety but also isolating them from the outside world.
This isolation makes AMP visits all the more important to these girls. Allies volunteers are a lifeline to them. They are the only group permitted to enter the orphanage due to the strong bond our team developed for more than a year.
During my visit, it was clear just how crucial our presence and the support of AMP are to these girls. Many of them battle depression, anxiety, and traumatic memories, finding solace in the emotional education we provide. Their eyes often reveal the depth of their sadness, yet they also shine with a longing for care and normal human connections.
Can you imagine if this was your daughter, niece, or grandchild experiencing this evil? Sadly, this kind of abuse of children is real. But we are grateful you are walking alongside us to help the most vulnerable strive for a better future. Together, we are not just changing lives — we are saving them.
You Broke Volunteer Records this Summer
Heather McDonald | Communications
We have the best community of volunteers here in Texas including individuals and groups that are faithful to show up weekly, monthly, and quarterly. In July alone, we had 19 volunteer groups and a grand total of 268 volunteers in the warehouse! That beats our previous record in March of 191 volunteers in just one month.
Volunteers are at the heart of Allies, making it possible for us to serve children around the world. There are more than 2,000 volunteers that are visiting children monthly with the Allies Mentoring Program (AMP). But the volunteers here in the U.S. are also working hard for orphans and disadvantaged children. They sort and clean donations, organize donations in the warehouse, and pack boxes that are shipped to countries like Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Ukraine. Our area leaders then distribute aid to our volunteer teams that deliver the needed items to orphans during AMP visits.
We can’t forget all the volunteers for their contribution to making the Color Their World banquet season a huge success! To each and every volunteer, individual, family, church group, organization, school group, or business — THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. You take time out of your busy schedules to serve children, and we can’t say thank you enough!

This group from Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington spent time in the Allies warehouse for Reach Week. They were one of 19 volunteer groups just in July.

Your in-kind donations are so important to us! Since we ship boxes to children every month, there’s always a need to restock the warehouse.

Thank You for Being a Shining Light at CTW
Chris Burgin | Founder and CEO
This year’s annual Color Their World events were centered around the Bible verse John 1:5 — “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” These were two nights to celebrate how Allies supporters are shining light in the darkness for more than 26,000 orphans and vulnerable children across five continents.
With 616 attendees between the two events in Texas, you donated school supplies, shoes, and committed to giving a little more than $1,000,000 over the next four years to help us get closer to our ultimate goal of serving 100,000 children by 2032! We also connected you with 31 children in Peru, Tanzania, and Romania when you answered the call to directly impact a child’s life through our new sponsorship program. Talk about being a bright light!

Thank you to all our guests at this year’s Color Their World events, including these ladies of the Christian Women’s Job Corps at CTW Mansfield.
We were blessed to hear guest speaker, Rev. Jonathan Evans, associate pastor of NextGen Ministry at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys. He gave us a very motivating message of giving with creative storytelling to drive home that message.

Jonathan Evans, Dallas Cowboys chaplain, was this year’s guest speaker at both CTW events.
CTW Mansfield had an extra special guest, the miracle you read about on the front page of this newsletter — a Russian orphan named Nikita whose adoption story came about because of the Allies Mentoring Program. Seeing Nikita walk up onto the stage was truly a touching moment. My other favorite part was seeing the video of children in the Allies Mentoring Program in Peru singing “This Little Light of Mine” as the audience sang along. Both nights were very special, and I want to say thank you to everyone who participated in these events. We are overwhelmed by your generosity and your willingness to help more and more children each year. To God be the glory for all He is doing to transform the lives of orphans.

event on the Allies in Youth Development YouTube channel.
