In 2005, Bob and Margaret King of Granbury, Texas had a charitable vision – a vision to help youth in their community build character and faith, to learn life skills and improve the course of their lives. They observed many challenges kids were facing, which resulted into drug and alcohol exposure and addictions, anxiety, and depression.
They wanted to help.
The King's vision included acquiring land in Granbury and turning it into a youth ranch. With a generous donation of land from a local couple and partnership with other locals, More Than Me Youth Ranch was born. The land, near Highway 144 in Granbury, was placed into a registered nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, More Than Me (MTM).
Allies first learned of MTM in early 2023. Through God's hand, Allies and MTM were introduced and Allies quickly realized they shared the same vision. Allies has since become a close operational and financial partner of MTM.
Together, Allies and MTM plan to host various events and programs on the youth ranch as well as open up the ranch for use by churches and ministries in the area. MTM recently hosted a Trail Life group event on the youth ranch.
Upcoming Events
The vision of MTM includes mentoring children about life on the ranch, including hunting, fishing, fire safety, land management, agriculture, and more. All events will include an inspirational message about Jesus and his kingdom.
Allies and HIM Food Bank in Mansfield are sponsoring an event at MTM youth ranch on May 10.
