Meet Robin, volunteer extraordinaire and Chris' wife!

Her husband starting a nonprofit to help children half-way across the world wasn't necessarily in Robin's long-term vision. But, the change of plans couldn't be more rewarding. Here's what she has to say:
"One of the most satisfying parts of all this is seeing the pictures of kids and the changes to those kids. Knowing that their lives have been altered in a good way because of Allies makes me joyful.
"We're impacting three generations here. First, the children who have been abandoned in the orphanages, of course. Second, though, we are also intersecting in the lives of the college students that are working with the children. Sometimes, the college students leave just as changed or more than the children.
"And third, we're making a difference in the lives of the orphanage workers too. Those are often women my age. It's easy for these women to become bitter or cynical, so if we get to step alongside them and encourage them, then we're doing our job."
