Visiting Big Families
March 13, 2017The month of December is known for being both hectic and filled with spiritual joy because of the Christmas season. For Irina, pregnant with her fourth son, Stephan, it was a perfect time for her brothers and sisters in Christ to show how much they really mean to her.
“It was a difficult month for my family,” Irina said. “All of the children had the flu. As they prepped me for surgery (for Stephan’s birth), they were concerned for my life and his because they thought it wasn’t going to go well.
“In fact, the doctors of Adigeya sent me to a prenatal center in Krasnodar because they didn’t want to take responsibility in case anything happened.”
Irina’s initial test results were not good – she had critically low blood pressure.
“My relatives and church family were praying for me,” she said. “The Lord has shown His mercy and He makes miracles!
“My baby and I are at home now. We are still weak, but getting stronger.”
Allies in Youth Development was able to provide Irina with sweets for her children and the Melihovih’s eight kids along with clothes, hygiene items and diapers.
“As a single mom with a lot of children, I was in need of those things,” Irina said. “My other children, Samuel, Sulamita and Esphir were very happy!”
