2013: A Busy and Blessed Year
January 30, 2014This year flew by us, but we are so grateful for all that has happened this year! We've expanded our team both in Eastern Europe and here in the US, sent thousands of pounds of goods to the orphans, hosted several trips to Eastern Europe and helped over 700 children in 15 facilities in three regions. Needless to say, it's been a busy year, but a blessed one.
Your generous donations make this all a reality. Your money helps these orphans receive clothing and toiletries, which they desperately need. It also allows Eastern European university students to visit the orphanages to love and mentor the children. Last year, we had 18 out of 20 orphans who were graduating out of one of the orphanages attend university. Without the encouragement from the university students, this wouldn't have happened! Now these children will have an education to help them manage their adult lives and escape poverty.
We're looking forward to expanding our reach in 2014 to helping over 1,200 orphans - and even helping those who are no longer orphaned and in adopted families. Many of these families who have made the sacrifice to adopt these orphans need help with food and clothing for their children. This is where we can step in to help by providing these necessary items.
