Save Orphans From Human Trafficking on Giving Tuesday

Orphans are extremely vulnerable to becoming victims of human trafficking because they are often on their own at a young age...without family support, lack of job opportunities, and without knowledge of even the most basic life skills. They are left alone...desperate and hopeless.

Allies in Youth Development connects orphans with mentors to set them on a completely different path. They are given friends who care about them and will teach them and guide them as they make important life decisions...and help them avoid traps set by human traffickers like false promises of employment.

And in the year of a pandemic, the risk has become even higher for an orphan to become a victim of human trafficking. Many orphans are being sent back to neglectful family members or former abusers. With orphanages being closed to the outside world, orphanage directors cannot be held accountable for how orphans are being cared for. We want to do what we can to reach out to these orphans and be there for them.

You can save orphans from human trafficking on Giving Tuesday (December 1). We have a generous donor who has offered a $15,000 matching gift. You can partner with us to help us reach our goal to raise $30,000.

Here are the ways you can help:

  1. Make a donation on Giving Tuesday
  2. Invite your friends to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter and Instagram @alliesyouth
  3. Share your story and start your own Facebook fundraiser on #GivingTuesday for Allies in Youth Development.

Together we can save orphans from this darkness and instead provide them with a bright future!
